Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Rotary Club of Warsaw has helped over 1400 refugees, providing them with shelter, food, helping them find work, and organizing a camp for children from Ukraine, with a total budget of 130k USD.

Ukrainian Children's Holidays

  • funded by RC Warszawa, RC Canberra Burley Griffin, RC Frankfurt, and individual donors
  • 30 children from Zaporizhzhia and Kropyvnytskyi in July 2023
  • 30 children from Lviv in August 2023
  • held in Klub Sosnowy - a recreational and conference center in Warsaw.

John Hewko in Warsaw

  • The visit took place in mid-June 2023.
  • The meeting was held at the Raffles Europejski Warsaw Hotel.
  • Governor Piotr Jankowski and Governor-Elect Marek Wcisło attended the meeting,
  • as well as representatives from Warsaw Rotary clubs and clubs from other cities.

E-Club Polonia Int. chartered

  • At the beginning of the Rotary year 2022-2023, we were asked to become the sponsor of the new Rotary Club.
  • President Piotr D. Kaczorowski appointed a board member of the Rotary Club of Warsaw, Rtn. Rafał Misztalski, to become the guardian of the new club for the next three years.
  • The club was established in May 2023.

Work for Ukrainian refugees

  • At the end of the Rotary year 2021-2022, an agreement was signed with the employment office of the city of Warsaw.
  • The agreement has been extended several times during Rotary year 2022-2023.
  • In total, over 700 individuals from Ukraine received medical examinations enabling them to work in grocery stores.
